uMngeni-uThukela Water will undertake repairs to a leak on the South Coast Pipeline on Wednesday, 16 September 2026. The pipeline will operate at a reduced capacity for approximately eight hours, from 08h00 to 16h00, to allow technical teams to safely carry out the repairs.
The planned reduction may result in water supply disruptions or reduced water pressure in parts of the south of the eThekwini Municipality and areas within the Ugu District Municipality supplied through the South Coast Pipeline.
Consumers are requested to use water sparingly during this period to assist in maintaining available reservoir storage.
uMngeni-uThukela Water apologises for the inconvenience and thanks affected communities for their patience and understanding.
